Circularity and constant feedback, no waste, use of local base materials and resources: factors that help develop sustainable and liveable cities. But how can designers take responsibility in this process and what role does the Distributed Design approach play in establishing self-sufficient cities?
FabLab Budapest seeks answers to these questions in their series of virtual interviews “Meet the Makers”. In the series, designers and artists from the open innovation workshop community talk about the sustainable designer approach and the circular economy in the forms of video interviews and podcasts. Meanwhile, the sustainable and open source design objects implemented for the joint call for entries of FabLab Budapest and European network Distributed Design Market Platform (DDMP) will debut. The series of interviews and the implemented design objects will be available for viewing at the social media platforms and the website of FabLab Budapest during Budapest Design Week.
