Loffice Talks

English podcast about the new facade of LOFFICE

Loffice's brand new base is located in the center of Budapest's bohemian quarter, on the site of a former red-lighted house at 4 Salétrom Street, District 8. The six-storey smart building with a minimized ecological footprint, a garden-related event space, a coworking office running onto a roof terrace, long-term rental “coliving” apartments, serviced, standard offices and hybrid workspaces are home to a bustling day for creative businesses, startups and cultural initiatives. One of the prides of the building, which features a creative combination of both work and living spaces, is its contemporary façade, which is a metal veil depicting the function of the house. The huge façade installation is a joint creation of Dutch designer Willem van de Ven and Hungarian artist Marcell Esterházy, with whom Ulrike Rein, one of the owners of Loffice and the brainchild of its creative strategy, talks. The “storyboard” facade, that completely dominates the street now, was born thanks to Marcell’s mind focused on proper use of material and technique, and Willem’s sophisticated, associative and playful graphics and visual concept.

Loffice's motto is, 'We're not aiming for the normal, we're striving for the right!'
The conversation is in English and lasts approximately 30 minutes.
