This Autumn, Hungarian designers will have a new opportunity to win over domestic and regional audiences: the Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency, as a professional partner of Design Week Budapest, will be organising both online and offline exhibitions on the occasion of theevent entitled 360 Design Budapest, to provide intensive visibility formHungary's outstanding design brands. Designers interested can apply to take part in the online and offline exhibition event.
Once again, Hungarian design will return to the forefront this Autumn. Between October 1st and 11th, Design Week Budapest will return in a hybrid form with leading experts and designers in their profession. The Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency will be joining the event as a cooperating partner for the third time. During the largest design event in Hungary, the HFDA will be organising professional roundtable discussions running under the name design DIALOG, as well as an offline and digital exhibition event called 360 Design Budapest.
The aim of the initiative is to connect design representatives and potential consumers, both online and offline, which at present has even greater importance due to the current changing economic climate, where the relationship design brands have with their customers determines their market position.
Talented designers now have the opportunity to show the special uniqueness of Hungarian design and the values hidden in their products at the event coordinated by the HFDA. Through supporting the stability of domestic design companies, the HFDA is organising exhibitions that provide an opportunity for members of the profession to present and introduce themselves to a wider audience, while at the same time providing those interested with exciting experiences and knowledge.
The aim of the 360 Design Budapest, offline event and physical exhibition are to highlight the world-class quality of Hungarian design, and the online exhibition presents not only Hungarian designers but also the products of regional designers, to further strengthen Hungary's leading role in the region.
Who can apply?
Design industry representatives in both Hungary and the region will have the opportunity to introduce themselves. The HFDA is looking for applications from domestic and regional object designers who are able to draw attention to themselves through their originality.
Applicants can apply in a total of eight product categories: furniture, electric lighting, textiles, carpets, other concrete-, plaster-, cement- and stone products, household ceramics, hollow glass and other plastic products. An important criterion is for the design brands to apply with products of their own design and construction. From the applicants, a jury of industry professionals will select the exhibitors, taking into account the domestic and international potential of the brands. Domestic and international recognition and press appearances will be considered as a competitive advantage.
Designers interested are kindly asked to submit their product portfolio and product descriptions, in which their professional career path is presented, including giving insight into the spirit of their work. Submissions should also include the data, photos and 3D models of the selected products.
