Public figures promote Budapest Design Map

Published for the seventh time this year, Budapest Design Map is the most comprehensive guide to the Budapest design scene. A video campaign is available to accompany the map now, featuring actor Pál Mácsai, actress Dorka Gryllus and cultural manager Anna Juhász, among others.

Using the practical Budapest Design Map, 150 of the city’s most thrilling design spots can be navigated; it helps locals and tourists in Budapest select the ones they find the most interesting, or organise a colourful design-themed route.

A video series featuring well-known stars committed to design and the given locations has been produced to promote the map. In connection with the gift shop of Örkény Theatre called Örkény PONT, director and actor Pál Mácsai is asked about his favourite design objects. ARTISTA is presented by Dorka Gryllus in front of our camera, who shares when she first encountered the brand. About K:önyv és Bolt in Katona József Theatre, Vivien Rujder tells us which design object in the shop she inspired. Eszter Balla loves selecting knick-knacks from the shelves of Prezent; she believes that quality design such as represented here in the shop nourishes the soul. On Tipton Eyeworks and vinyl eyewear, core member of Punnany Massif, Wolfie is interviewed. In the workshop of Brigi Konda, cook and gastro blogger Zsófia Mautner gives us an enthusiastic guided tour. Singer Bíborka Bocskor speaks about her relationship with the brand Je Suis Belle, whereas literary expert Anna Juhász shares her thoughts in NON+ on good clothes being like good books.

The videos can be viewed on the Facebook page and the Youtube channel of Budapest Design Week. The complimentary publication is available in dozens of downtown locations, and the Google Maps Layer version accessible via this link (for the exact distribution spots, up-to-date information is available on the Facebook page of Budapest Design Week).
