This year marks the 70th year since world-famous architect and applied artist, graphic designer and educator Lajos Kozma passed away. To honour this exceptional creator, a major series of programmes is launched in cooperation with Kunsthalle [Műcsarnok], the Museum of Applied Art, the Hungarian Museum of Architecture, and the Lajos Kozma Woodworking Vocational School operating under Budapest Complex Centre of Vocational Training (BKSzC), as part of the Kozma Memorial Year in 2018, aiming to highlight the importance of artist (vocational) training and of the traditions in crafts through showcasing Kozma’s diverse oeuvre and complex designer attitude. the series of programmes includes an exhibition, a conference and multiple workshops.
