40x40 is an exhibition that collects the projects of leading international designers who won A’Design Award this year. The exhibition presents 40 designers’ winner works from 40 countries. All of the Hungarian winners are also exhibited to highlight their success.
They can’t promise you the smell of sea, rain or freshly tapped Tuborg, but they can show you the new couches, chairs, tables and design accessories representing the new Scandinavian design – Budapest’s new design store welcomes you into the world of the Danish company, Bolia. Hygge, the Danish feeling of coziness willmove into the Budapest Stocking Factory, home of the new Innoconcept showroom.

The Cellux Group has pursued design, and has organised workshops ondesign methodology and creative sessions since 2006. During Budapest Design Week, little ones and adults visiting the studio may peek into the everyday work of the group, while the audience is welcome to participate in thematic programmes on two Sundays.
How do the youngest designers and co-working spaces provide something different? We will get an insight into the work of a designer and the latest trends through the presentation of Octogon magazine and designer Apor Kovács. Gábor Paukovics, ABW specialist of Kinnarps will introduce the hidden secrets of coworking spaces and how they enhance the development of designers and start-ups.

Danish Design Award is the highest recognition to be earned by designers, manufacturers, products or services in Denmark. The prize is awarded jointly by Design Denmark and Danish Design Centre, putting into the limelight the solutions that did the most for society each year. The exhibition presents the finalists and winners of the Danish Design Award in 18 categories through tableaux and detailed descriptions, offering a comprehensive review of the latest achievements of Danish design.
CANCELED: The exhibition will be complemented by two talks, where Design Denmark and its activities will be presented by Mr. Heinrik Weiglin, CEO of Design Denmark, and Ms. Pil Bredahl, leading designer of the institution.
Kvint-R presents the world’s best industrial 3D printers: 3D Systems’ machines and technology. The short presentation will be followed by an open discussion about the possibilities of 3D printing. At the workshop, participants may try themselves how 3D printing works, by finishing the last step on their own – to make the bearing work.
In the beginning there was the darkness… and light shall be. Quality of light is the quality of life. Light is evolution, light is innovation. LED technology, lighting control, and programming made easy, design trends in interior design – Salvatore Pugliarelli, Italian lighting expert gives a brief overview of the actual state of desing in lighting. Amazing interior projects, product samples and innovations are also to be revealed.

What is the road to opening a multibrand shop? Dóra Juhász and Gabó Szerencsés once started out as two different designer brands until they jointly founded the formation Lucky Shepherd. In their showroom located in Buda, they give an account of their story about the development of their joint brand and successes.
VITRIN aims to educate and inspire its design-conscious audience. As part of their pop up showroom, Menu – the ambassador of Danish design – has been invited to be their kind guest. Visitors will have the opportunity to purchase Menu’s design collections and also to learn about their interpretation of Modernism based on simple and classical designs.
