81font architecture & design is a weighty actor in the imaging of Budapest’s bars and restaurants – they designed the interiors of Doboz, Kolor and Mazel Tov, for instance. Péter Szendrő and his team of young people design bars, bistros and hangouts, recently adding offices, flats and shops to their menu of interior design – they share stories also about these to their audience.
They can’t promise you the smell of sea, rain or freshly tapped Tuborg, but they can show you the new couches, chairs, tables and design accessories representing the new Scandinavian design – Budapest’s new design store welcomes you into the world of the Danish company, Bolia. How do busy working days pass in an architecture office? BORD Architectural Studio team members will share it with you. What is more, some inside information will also be revealed: office founder Péter Bordás tells about completed projects that have remained hidden from public view so far – and more well-known works will also be addressed, such as Nagyerdei Stadion or Korda Filmpark.
The Cellux Group has pursued design, and has organised workshops ondesign methodology and creative sessions since 2006. The open innovation workshop FabLab Budapest is a library of manufacturing technologies, where you can find a woodshop next to 3D printers, CNC machines and laser cutters. During the week you can learn more about the services of the lab where AB concrete design and Fabatka brands will be introduced.
Developed in Hungary, HBH sports equipment is manufactured using special technology, and is suited for use outdoors and indoors alike. Because the basic elements can be combined in any way users choose, any size of area can be furnished with it; outdoor training parks also have a community building function. HBH has won a special prize of the Hungarian Design Award, and is used in numerous sports parks all around the world. Its creators now hold a unique demonstration and training session – to those who are quick enough to apply.
