In the Open Handicraft Studio handicraft masters, embroiderers, pearl jewellery, applied felt, felt, lace and basket makers, leatherworkers run workshops and present their contemporary fashion collection in a show. A workshop demonstrates how can we use traditional techniques in the 21. century.

“Feteke-fekete folk design”- fashion show and talk

Handicraft masters of the Open Handicraft Studio create a fashion collection inspired by folk art. In this creative work they show their knowledge and skills of folk art and techniques, and show how they translate traditional costume towards modern dresses in a fashion show.

Presentation and workshop
Handicraft workshop with Tamás Éber who is a master of leather work and instructor of the Art and Craft Secondary School of Békéscsaba. He use our unique cultural heritage in his works in a modern way, and in this program he show us an old technique and we can discuss how we can use it at creating new objects.
