A Design Hét Budapest Központi értékek – közös örökségünk a közép-európai kortárs designban című kiállításához kapcsolódó előadássorozat célja megmutatni, hogy a régió hasonló társadalmi, gazdasági és kulturális hagyományokkal, adottságokkal rendelkező országai milyen formai, technológiai és rendszerszintű válaszokat adnak a meghatározó, közös kihívásokra – ezeket a kérdéseket járják körül a Visegrádi Együttműködés országainak képviselői a konferencia keretéban.

CZECH JEWELLERY (PAST NAD PRESENT)

Petr Nový, the curator of the exhibition HANDMADE DREAMS – Contemporary Czech Fashion Jewellery will have a lecture on the past and present of Czech jewellery production. After the lecture, he will give a commented tour to the exhibition, which takes place between 24th September and 9th October in the second floor of Museum of Applied Arts and focuses on presenting  contemporary Czech jewellery from famous trademarks as well as from students of design. Symposium and exhibition

On the simposium “Young, Famous, Hungarian? – Star designers’ road to success” the school will hold an informal conversation with Hungarian designers about the joys and hardships of their work. Guests will be Adél Kovács fashion designer (NUBU), Fanni Vékony jewelery designer, Tamás Bartha and György Árpád Hunor (HeonLab), Zoltán Lublóy designer, Dávid Obendorfer product designer and Zsolt Vidák graphics designer.

The Museum of Applied Arts expects fans of object culture with a traditional design fair: designer-made unique, high-quality jewellery, clothing, ceramics and accessories. In addition to the fair, varied programmes including a family day will be provided to interested visitors.

The young Hungarian designer Tamás Túri, who was awarded the first prize of the category Mobility and Traffic at the A’ Design Award 2015, presents his latest development of a tricycle for the disabled. The prototype is discussed by János Hídvégi of the Hungarian Museum of Science, Technology and Transport.

Movie screening of Transsylvania in the Museum of Applied Arts

Another beautiful and novel road movie-documentary shot in Transylvania by the CMH team cycling from Madrid to Budapest. The movie, rich in unique experiences and accompanied by soundtrack by Andras Toth and narrative by Gyula Szersén has seen outstanding success at several festivals around the globe. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the formation of the Visegrád Cooperation, and also when Visegrád Patent Institute, a partner institution of the Hungarian Intellectual Property Office was launched. This round anniversary others additional opportunities for strengthening cooperation in a number of fields, including design. Whether you are a designer of furniture, jewelry, clothes graphic, web or anything else, you need this knowledge! In our workshop, we present, when do the Designer need the use of Databases of Intellectual Properties during his design work and how should he use it. Participants have the opportunity to make novelty research in reference to his own intellectual design. (max. 20 person/workshop)
