LaLuz Visuals – Light painting workshop

Connected to our exhibition “In the Mood for Colours” we have invited the team of *LaLuz Visuals* whose goal is to create a new and spectacular experience of space using colours and lights. During their workshop for painting with light we can get an insight behind the scenes of this visual magic factory and we, too, can become light magicians.

Études for primary colours #RED – Élőkép Theatre

With the help of the Élőkép Theatre our exhibition “In the Mood for Colours” now leaves the exhibition venue. During the performance female sculptures start moving, their connection to each other and their surroundings keep changing and gradually developing. This improvisation fills the special rooms of the Museum of Applied Arts with new impulses and visions.

Transylvania by bike

Movie screening of Transsylvania in the Museum of Applied Arts

Another beautiful and novel road movie-documentary shot in Transylvania by the CMH team cycling from Madrid to Budapest. The movie, rich in unique experiences and accompanied by soundtrack by Andras Toth and narrative by Gyula Szersén has seen outstanding success at several festivals around the globe. Behind the ColourMirror

Programs by Museum of Applied Arts

This interactive installation, made by the team TechLab Fellows of the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design Budapest, is a project accompanying our exhibition “In the Mood for Colours”. The mirror scans the clothing of the visitor standing in front of it and the programme finds an object in the exhibition matching this colour scheme. How did this installation come into being? What can it be used for? Among others, these questions will be discussed with the creators of this project.

Benjamin Hubert

Benjamin Hubert is the founder of Layer, a strategic industrial design agency that delivers market leading experiences across strategy, industrial design and UX/UI. In this programme, the Museum intends to re-interpret the connection between sight, the sense of touch, and personal visual culture through a pop-up exhibition (between 11-17 h). With LaLuz team visitors can make an excursion into painting with light, whereas in the movement performance by Élőkép Theatre female sculptures are endowed with life.

UX Design Presentation

Get to Know Your Users!

UX studio works exclusively on UX and UI design: they design mobile and web applications. By participating on their workshops visitors can meet their designers and researchers, and learn in a fun and practical way about how to improve digital products. At the main event Dávid Pásztor CEO will give a presentation about user experience design. studio That's It

StudioThat’s it is a genuine media design workshop. Their assignments include city imaging and video clips, theatrical visual design or production and application of animation that appears in British or American films. The varied assignments call for a flexible designer attitude, while the limits of genres are being increasingly blurred, which benefits experimenting; designer and studio leader Balázs Balogh talks about these work processes.
