Immár harmadik alkalommal jelentkezik Sopronban is a Design Hét, mely az Alkalmazott Művészeti Intézetben 'Az átmenetiség újrateremtése' kíállítás megnyitójával kezdődik és a táborral, mint építészeti problémával foglalkozik, azon belül is elsősorban a menekülttáborral, mint ideiglenes és uniformizált térrel. Programs of Graphasel Design Studio

Graphasel Design Studio is awaiting the visitors of Design Week with a busy event programme in 2016. They put sports in the focus, since it largely determined the studio’s works last year. In addition to their case studies, special guest speakers are also invited to the event, who are in part their own KREA students: Lídia Páncsity and Ferenc Hetsch. Benjamin Hubert

Benjamin Hubert is the founder of Layer, a strategic industrial design agency that delivers market leading experiences across strategy, industrial design and UX/UI. From domestic appliances to the first 3D printed wheelchair, wearable technologies to app design, furniture and household objects, Hubert and his team have designed a series of successful objects, for companies like BMW, Braun, Cappellini, Fritz Hansen, Moroso, Nike or Samsung, among others. Layer is also a multidisciplinary workshop that embodies the newest generation of design studios.

1st ArtHungry Award

Award ceremony

The first award ceremony of the one year old creative community site,, will take place on September 30th at the Hygge events centre in Bálna Budapest. The theme of the ArtHungry Award this year was graphics and design, for which applications were accepted in three categories between August 20th and September 20th. In choosing the award recipients, the organisers were supported by multi-award winning specialists and experienced industry journalists. The highlights from the night of the award ceremony will include a presentation of 3D printing by Varinex Zrt. and during the evening, Zoltán Heimann winemaker presents and opens his newest wine creation, SXRD.

State of the Art Winery – Etyeki Kúria

Design and Functionality

What is the role of design in the life of a high quality winery, how far could the self-realization go and where should the importance of functionality begin? These are the questions to be answered at the pop-up downtown community hall by the image designer Alessandri Studio, by the architect of the winery Peter Bordás and the winemaker Sándor Mérész. The installations of young designers are complemented by the unconventional presentation of the works of artist Márton Nemes and Kata Szegedi fashion designer and wine tasting.

POP-UP Installation & Portfolio Photoshoot

DekoRatio’s pop-up installation will function as an art gallery during Budapest Design Week. They will set up a „design forest”, from which – given you are lucky enough – you will be able to take home a unique picture. Szimultán Art School comes up as one of the exciting private artistic institutions in Hungary with its up to date, goal-oriented and always ready for changes approach. On their exhibition they would like to introduce those artists who graduated in their school and working as glass designers, interior designers, goldsmiths, fine artists. This event also celebrates the 15th anniversary of the school.
